If you’re thinking of booking an appointment at the Poppy Perspective studio you may like to make a day of it to explore the area. Ramsgate is a lovely seaside town with fascinating maritime heritage, cafe culture and gorgeous Regency architecture. It has an up and coming art and music scene and all along side a huge sandy beach.
Here are some of my favourite things to eat, drink and do while you’re in town:
The Falstaff
A cosy pub on trendy Addington Street with good food and great atmosphere. They also have a lovely cafe attached next door.
16 - 18 Addington Street, Ramsgate CT11 9JJ
Flavours by Kumar
Unbeatable Indian food with an excellent 3 course lunch deal for just £12.50! So so good.
2 Effingham St, Ramsgate CT11 9AT
Little Ships
This harbour side cafe/restaurant is a firm favourite with a great menu. Lovely spot to watch the world go by.
54-56 Harbour Parade, Ramsgate CT11 8LN
Townleys at Albion House
For something a little fancier, head up the hill to this gorgeous boutique hotel with a great bar and restaurant to pop some processco and take in the amazing view over the harbour too!
Albion Pl, Ramsgate CT11 8HQ
ADDINGTON STREET
This lovely little road was once the high street and is now full of trendy cafes and quirky shops.
Don’t miss: live music at the Queen Charlotte pub, Vinyl Head record shop and cafe which is always showcasing new artists, a rumage for antiques at Paraphernalia
COASTAL WALK TO BROADSTAIRS
A must do if the weather permits. The Viking coastal path has some breathtaking scenery and there is so much to explore in quaint Broadstairs.
MARGATE
If you’re staying longer it’s worth the 15mins around the coast to trendy Margate. Loads of bars, pubs and bijou restaurants. As well as the modern Turner gallery and recently refurbished Dreamland.
